I looked and didn't see any threads, but yesterday Disney announces Toy Story 5, Frozen 3, and Zootopia 2 while also laying off thousands of employees. Was this all legit news?

They need to let Toy Story enjoy its retirement. 4 was already somewhat unnecessary, even though it was pretty good. Need new IP's.

Lightyear was one of the best films in quite a while, not just disney. Maybe another Buzz movie, but let the other toys go to goodwill.
Iger basically unraveled Chapek's reorg and put the content teams back in control of distributing and marketing their titles.
Still losing money on streaming and aiming for profitability by the end of 2024.
Parks making lots of money by charging more and adding new fees for things that used to be free.

This. 4 was ok, but the ending to TS3 and even TS2 were good as well to end the franchise.
Toy Story was the best trilogy of all time. Each movie was perfect and the story had a perfect ending. I view part 4 as kind of an epilogue, but wasn't really needed.
In my view, Toy Story 3 was our finale. (Millenials or older.)

A friend of mine said she talked to Bob Iger in the bakery on Main Street in Smithville Texas on Tuesday. She said he was staying with friends and was moving from Dallas to San Antonio.
