One of the most important men in the greatest art form our country has given the world has left the room. Wayne Shorter was one of the last titans of jazz, and his musical contribution cannot be over stated.

Just finished listening to Birdland on my evening walk. One day I will post about one of my trips to Vienna (Austria) and encountering the family of Joe Zawinul, whom had past a few years earlier.

Heavy Weather was one of the first jazz albums I ever bought. Had it on cassette in high school.

Wow, you were into jazz at a young age. The first album I ever purchased (in HS) was H2O by Hall & Oates. Lol.
