Will be interesting to see how this plays out. I'm guessing tickets close up will be in the $300 range. We'll see how far off we are.

"WE HAVE PRICED TICKETS TO BENEFIT FANS AND OUR EFFORTS TO BLOCK SCALPERS AND LIMIT INFLATED RESALE PRICES ARE BEING SUPPORTED BY OUR TICKETING PARTNERS."

Apparently tickets are non-transferable and only resale at face value.

Would love to see them on a Saturday night in Dallas where I first saw them in '89 on the Prayer Tour.

I "hated" The Cure at the time they came to Texas Stadium in Irving in 1992. I had a lot of friends go but I had zero interest in seeing a band I "hated".

I knew jack and s*** about The Cure, their look just annoyed me.

Of course within 6 weeks of the show I started enjoying Friday I'm in Love, had the album, and realized their greatness.

I've regretted missing that show ever since, particularly once I started working back in their catalog over the next few years.

We did finally catch them several years ago at the AAC in Dallas. Robert Smith is an international treasure. I never realized how much of the lead melody lines he played in their arrangements.

Saw them in 2013 at ACL. They were tremendous. Robert Smith looked like a grandmother but his pipes were perfect. Really fun band

Same here. I judged a book by its cover on those guys. "A Forest" and "Fascination Street" are two of my favorite songs of all time. "Lullaby" too. "Disintegration", "Same Deep Water as You" and "Prayers for Rain" as well. They have tons of great songs and I missed out for a long time because I hated the way they looked lol.

Marketing teams can be amazing. Ticketmaster has taken a problem they've contributed to and convinced the masses they have solved it with "no resale, no transfer".

And customers fall for it hook, line and sinker.

No resale, no transfer is really bad for the consumer.

4th favorite band of all time. Can't wait. Would absolutely love to catch one of those three shows at the Hollywood Bowl but will likely settle for Dallas. They played 9 out of 12 songs off "Disintegration" their last show in Dallas which was incredible.

Yep, when the preacher announced "you may kiss the bride" that was the cue to start playing "just like heaven" at our wedding.

Unfortunately they're not touring anywhere near me that wouldn't necessitate an entire trip out of the experience. And I just can't make that work this year. The Cure are the band that is my biggest holy-**** moment ever in music. I can still remember the day I got the soundtrack to The Crow. We were headed out of town to a soccer tournament and stopped at the mall so I could get a new cd to listen to on the way. I put the cd in my disc man and my mind was blown by track one, Burn. On an album with NIN, Rage Against The Machine, Pantera, STP, Violent Femmes, and Helmet it still outshines all of them. I would listen to Burn, then another song, then I'd listen to Burn again, rinse and repeat. That song to this day is one of the most important songs I've ever heard, it's a top 5 track for me. I love a ton of their catalog but that one is my jam above all others.

I'm on a waitlist. My buddy got a code for Albuquerque which he says gets him in ten minutes before the public on sale. Weird…

I have seen them twice , the last time at Mitchell Pavilion on The Woodlands. I would love to see them again but is $300 the going rate now for concert tickets?

$300 was just my ballpark guess. Floor seats for Depeche Mode are $1k this tour.

You can get DM floor seats for around $400 from resellers. Face value weren't that bad the day they came out. I got front row side balcony for $90

Same here and I knew about the registration but got the window wrong.

Robert Smith tweeted quite a bit tonight about the whole thing. Basically it sounds like if you aren't registered you are probably screwed and most every one I've seen got waitlisted so there will be no general public on sale.

I'll be checking on cashortrade or I guess possibly TM for face resale. Doesn't sound like the whole process quite worked out the way Robert envisioned. Strangely the Dallas show is the only one of the tour that doesn't have presale tomorrow and the Houston show appears to have a link since it is through AXS that may have a non-required code sale on Friday but I'm not certain about the last part.

Tickets weren't bad.
I got decent lower bowl was like $110 face, $175 after fees.

I only could get 4 and my code no longer worked after that. Probably going to use all 4, but I will post here if I have end up with an extra pair.

I was able to get 3 on the lawn in Dallas. The actual seats went quick. By the time I tried to verify 3 seats they were gone. Only singles within 10 minutes.

haha funny, except for TM doesn't get a dime of facility charges.. that goes to the venue.

So TM did not charge a fee more than the ticket.

Good catch.

Verified but waitlisted buddy was finally able to grab 4 lawns to Dallas after an 80 minute wait so I'm in at $46.50 total. I can't complain.

There's not going to be able to be a way for you to get the extra pair to anybody else unless you walk in with them.

I think that's his plan.. he might have an extra 'pair' out of 4, which means he's still going.
