Letterman went to Ireland to interview Bono and the Edge, interspersed with a recent concert they did. It was acoustic with some of the lyrics changed.
Part Irish history lesson, part Dub,in tour, part history of the band, part concert. Brian Grazer and Ron Howard were behind it so it's quality,.
And for any 80's kids, it doesn't get much better than Dave and U2.

We enjoyed it - the new album of 40 "reimagined songs" is pretty meh - a lot sound like some Vegas lounge singer doing bad cover versions, but there are some gems (Bad, Invisible)
The show is a good look at U2's Dublin, Dave fan-boying out, and a nice interview.

Watched this last night and really liked it. Lots of great stories about the early years, the evolution of the band, evolution of Ireland, lots of talk about songwriting. Letterman is his usual great self. Enjoyed seeing Glen Hansard featured quite a bit. I don't really have an interest in the new album of reimagined songs, but loved seeing Bono and Edge perform them in such an intimate space. If you are a fan of the band, its well worth your time.

By the way with an overly cautious spoiler tag, I will say my favorite scene was when they did "All I want is You" in the pub. It wasn't spontaneous, it looked like it was mostly their band there, but something still just so pure and timeless about scene. Didn't need a big crowd, it was only a few dozen people in there. Good musicians just playing because they like to play. Wish they would have shown the whole song.

Agreed - I'd like to see the whole interview, the whole concert at the theater, and the entire pub smaller concert - even if it was just a couple entire songs. They took small segments from each which was fine for a 90 minute special but would've liked to have seen more.

That was a great scene. It was reminiscent of when we visited Ireland in 2019. We happened upon a pub in the outskirts of Dublin. 3 musicians were seated in the corner playing traditional music, and every now a random person across the room would sing to the songs. It was a very communal experience
