What was with the black guy being such a major part of the movie? I would have thought he would have done something at the end that was substantial vs just watching the dual on a bench (which was a bit cheese)

Yes. However he was basically the other main character before that..I just thought he was going to be a huge storyline at the end based on the time he was in front of the camera.

I think they were trying to do some more extensive world and character-building in order to create spinoffs. Definitely got the feeling he will be showing up again along with the Japanese daughter.


As for his role in the movie, I felt he was a nod to classic Westerns and Samurai movies... the nameless and mysterious gunslinger/swordsman.

The black guy who was always tracking John Wick is Tracker.

I thought he was Mr. Nobody?

He's credited as Tracker, but I guess that's like The Elder being the The Elder instead of Larry McDesertface. The google shows a lot of Mr. Nobody, also known as Tracker, and vice versa.

What was the deal with his journal? Odd

So is John dead? I got the impression the whole headstone was just another way for him to "be out"... until he's not again. Sure felt like they made his final wounds ambiguous enough to leave it open for debate.


Besides all that, the movie was just OK. Some of the stuff they did was amazing, but too often it felt like it's falling to the same traps the Fast franchise has. They keep trying to up the game but end up drifting into comic book territory. There is very little left that grounds the franchise to reality... it's a borderline superhero movie now.

I just saw John Wick Chapter 4, and I enjoyed this movie. The burial scene of John Wick at the end gave me the impression that this is the last movie in the series.

finally got to see this one!

I enjoyed it

some scenes were laugh out loud such as the overhead shot of John wasting 50 guys with the shotgun that also sets them on fire

the acting is actually very good

I felt sad when John died.

but that's also because Keanu is nearing 60 and I'm 52

it's always sad to see a great franchise end such as Daniel Craig as Bond.
