Dolph Lundgren diagnosed with terminal cancer. Very sad to hear the news.

"I mean you kind of look at your life going 'Oh I've had a great life,'" he said. "I've had a freaking great life. I've lived like five lifetimes in one already with everything I've done."

So It wasn't like I was bitter about it," he added. "It was just like, you know, feel sorry for my kids and my fiance and people around you."

Man, what a statement. I hope to have that much emotional maturity.

Sounds like he's ok now..? CNN articles can be so poorly written, it's hard to tell.

If he dies, he dies.

Kidding....that sucks. He's an icon.

I agree it's hard to determine if this is a recent development or back from 2015 when he was diagnosed.

He's an impressive person. Read his bio if you have not. He's a brilliant guy.

Fortunately, the elder Lundgren got a second opinion from oncologist Dr. Alexandra Drakaki, who did another biopsy. She found a mutation which made the cancer treatable by medication which has helped shrink the tumors by 90 percent.

**** yes.

Breakthroughs are happening faster now with CRISPR gene editing technology and mRNA based treatments. **** you cancer, hope Lundgren lives pain free another 2 decades.

Maybe texags staff can moderate the title.

In 2021 doctors told him he had a few months left, but the second opinion saved his life. Cancer down 90%.

My apologies. This would be a good thread to discuss his cancer battle, but it appears Drago broke cancer instead.

Sorry for jumping to conclusions. They should make a mat….

Just because it's down 90% doesn't mean he's beaten it. A friend's son has been fighting cancer off and on for several years now, since he was 5. They've eliminated it 3-4 times only for it to come back again and again, resistive to what worked before, and he's currently undergoing yet another round of experimental treatments.

Yep.

Unless you get a diagnosis of "cure" instead "remission", the worry of a return never goes away.

Several years ago I was with some guys from work flying out of Austin Bergstrom and our flight was delayed two or three hours. So naturally we were hanging out in the Admirals Club throwing drinks back and cutting up. There was this big white blonde dude sitting behind us, could only see the back of his head, but when he spoke I instantly put it together it was Dolph. So this buddy of mine leaned back in the lounge to get closer to him as says "I must break you".

Dolph just ignores him at first and we're all kind of drunk and start busting up. Then my buddy (and this dude is huge, played D1 and in the NFL at guard) says louder "if he dies, he dies". At this point, Dolph turns around and is busting up laughing. Long story short, we hung out with him for close to a couple of hours just talking Rocky sh** and laughing our asses off. Not sure who he was with but he didn't speak much English. Dolph was freakin hilarious and took some funny pics with us we were texting out to everyone we knew.

Cool guy. Funny as hell. Very smart. Told him my story about meeting Stallone in Hawaii which he laughed about pretty hard and then did his own Stallone personation which was pretty damn good.

Hope the best for him. Very unique character for sure.

Great stuff. He's always seemed like a good guy. Pretty cool that he has a masters in engineering.

Now let's see those Dolph pics!
