Seeing reports of several Regal theaters suddenly shut down yesterday. Unlike the previous shut downs, there does not seem to be a pre-announcement for these. Signs were posted on the doors this morning.

A bankruptcy judge approved ending leases on dozens of properties in April but the closures yesterday were not on that list.

I have no idea what this means for the bankruptcy outcome, but I assume a judge signed off on these closures.

Looking back through a Google search of the news articles from the last month or so, it appears they are just shutting some theaters down without pre-announcement or fanfare. It's a scattershot approach.

They closed the one in longview. Not surprised, it sucked

They just opened a brand new Regal here in Pasadena, less than a week ago. Hope to check it out soon.
