The Alamo (2004) grossed $24 million, and was budgeted for $90 million. Originally, Russell Crowe, Brad Pitt, and Ethan Hawke were considered.
Could you image what a 2004 Russell Crowe would have done for that movie as Sam Houston? He had just come off Gladiator (2000), A Beautiful Mind (2001), and Master and Commander (2003). Those three combined for over $1B

I don't think GF III makes $100mm more but $20-30mm is a safe bet I think.

As far as added characters, RDJ to any MCU film is easy. Ant-Man with an Iron Man cameo gets an extra $100M for sure. Etc. Add Tom Holland to any of these Sony villain films and I think the effect is the same. (Heck, just the rumor of the Venom 2 post-credits got people into theaters.)
As far as recasting… maybe someone other than Ezra Miller as the Flash? I don't know who - anyone with a clean track record. I'm not sure how much Ezra played into the box office failure but if I could wave a magic wand, it'd be worth a shot.
Maybe add Black Adam to Shazam 2. Chadwick Boseman to Black Panther 2 obviously (RIP…).

Pretty much anyone else as the lead in Flash based off its box office numbers since its release. Someone like Glen Powell or anyone else with much less baggage than Ezra Miller.

This may have been mentioned multiple times at this point, but I think when all the Ezra Miller scandal stuff had come out, they could have kept a lot of enthusiasm for the fan boys by recasting the guy who played Flash from the CW show, Grant Gustin. It has a cult following, and that guy is infinitely more likeable, even if he isn't the biggest name draw.
I would argue that he is a bigger name draw now than EM.

This one is hard to say for sure since it was a pretty small movie that only made $34M. Only became a cult movie on DVD. Hell, I don't know a single person who saw this in theaters.
But if you cast Leo, that probably gets you a much wider theatrical release, bigger marketing budget, etc.
