Looking forward to this one, minimize the wokeness(i.e. keep it same/below level as the first series) and focus on the story/setting and this definitely has potential. I loved the original series, some of Netflix's best work(alongside DOTA). Anyone else? French Revolution is a wonderful setting for some vampires.

Looking forward to it. Apparently my wife's friend from high school edited one of the episodes from the original series.

That looks really good. I liked the first series a lot and will definitely see this when it drops.

DOTA was pretty good and Netflix's Voltron was pretty good as well.

New trailer drop:

Looks like this Belmont can use magic, since the end of the first series it's highly likely that Dracula is alive in this era right?

Castlevania is one of those hidden gems that I didn't know I'd like as much as I did, but I loved it. Very much looking forward to this. Haven't seen DOTA but if it's on par with Castlevania then I need to watch it.

This one is out. I won't be able to see it until next week likely.

I was able to watch a few episodes this weekend. It's decent so far but not up there with the original series. Without a villain as compelling as Dracula it's just your standard vampire entertainment. I'll finish it up but I didn't get full on addicted to the show like I did with the original because it was so well done.

Out of curiosity, was there any reason to think they wouldn't? Or is this just a blanket statement that can be added to any trailer?

Just finished. I'm not usually that surprised by time big reveals happen but during that last scene I jumped out of my chair and yelled F YEAH!

It's because it's Netflix, I try to hold a low bar for their shows.

Apparently said friend is an editor on this series as well, not just a single episode.

it's different, sure, but I really liked it overall. Except for the singing demon storyline.
I finished it up today thanks to feeling like garbage and I ended up enjoying the way it finished up. The reveal at the end was great. Alucard was my favorite character from the original series, was awesome for him to show up.
