It doesn't look like there's any official announcement, but someone on Reddit found it listed on the AMC app for release on September 22. I just checked and I see it as well. No ticket sales yet though.

At this point, not sure if it's an AMC exclusive or not. Hopefully it's to all theaters, and includes IMAX.

It would be really interesting if some studio took advantage of all the movies shifting out of this year (due to the strikes) to rerelease a bunch of their classics this winter.

15 years since Dark Knight is hard to believe. The week before it came out, I had been in New York City for the first time with some friends to go see a game at Yankee Stadium before they knocked it down.

Late that night as we walked around NYC like the dumb Texans we were/are, 3 of us randomly decided to hop on the Staten Island Ferry and take the trip there and back and see a bit of a closer look at the Statute of Liberty.

Could have knocked me over with a feather a week later seeing those ferries be featured so prominently in the film.

I've told this tale before, but I went to see I Am Legend with a buddy on the IMax in Houston, and they played the opening scene of TDK where the Joker robs the bank as a preview before the movie. When the preview ended I literally could not remember what movie I had come to see, it was such a dazzling preview.

Seeing this movie at its original release in the theaters was the best movie experience I've had in the last 25 years. It just blew me away.

My brother an I saw I Am Legend in imax solely to see the opening of TDK. I doubt I would have ever seen legend otherwise.

In addition, I had already seen No Country for Old Men and loved it. My brother was indifferent about seeing it, but when we got to the theater to see legend the only seats available were up front. We decided to see a later showing and I convinced him to see No Country while we waited. He ended up seeing it 2 more times in theaters after that
