Looking at finding some new sports docuseries, watching Welcome to Wrexham got me spun towards Sunderland Til I Die. I'm not a soccer fan but both of these series have great human stories that draw you in.

I've watched The Last Dance and Untold series but looking for something new. What are some of the best out there?

Formula 1: Drive to Survive on Netflix

I don't care about car racing, but I still love this show. There are several seasons out that you can binge.

They also did tennis and golf spin-offs. They aren't as good, but since I do follow those sports, I did enjoy them. I think they may have done a cycling one too.

I've wanted to start Formula 1 but didn't know if I'd get into it or not. Loved Full Swing too.

I think it's the human elements that when done well make these such a draw and root for the underdogs.

The Nolan Ryan one is badass.

Icarus as well.

Edit: NVM you said docuseries, I think both of those are just films.

If you watch the first episode, you will have a great sense of whether you are into the show or not. This isn't a show where you need to get through a bunch of episodes to start liking it. If you like it, watch the rest. If you don't, it isn't going to get better for you.

It is all about the human element and personal stories, whether the driver is at the top or the bottom of the competition.

I tend to enjoy the docuseries that are more historical of events (versus follow around current players and ongoing teams like a Hard Knocks does).

If you were old enough to go through the greatest era of middleweight boxing in the 80s, the Kings 4-part documentary on Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Thomas "The Hitman" Hearns, and Roberto Duran is outstanding.

Of course, if you don't like boxing or don't have Showtime/Paramount +, you aren't going to watch it, but those guys fighting each other was just such great entertainment.

The MotoGP docuseries on Amazon Prime is pretty decent. Although not a series, the documentary Why We Ride is great if you like motorcycles.

They're all one episode arcs, but there's a ton of great 30 for 30s and Untold stories.

Yup, totally got us hooked.

It's one of the old standbys but Hard Knocks on HBO is always good.

The Prime Series on the All Blacks Rugby is fantastic

Still don't understand why they don't throw the ball tho, would be a much better sport
