What's the over/under on this, 6 more years? Last album was just in 2019.

6 more years? Maybe 16 more years, if ever.
I hope they come through with one more album though. Those guys are the best.

They probably have enough music to do two more albums. Just gotta get Maynard on board. I feel like Tool is way down his list of priorities nowadays.
which is crazy, because he seems like a down to earth person, and surely he knows that without Tool, he likely wouldn't have the funds to support his winery, and likely much less success with APC, etc..Yellerjacket said:

re tool guest appearance, they've certainly done it plenty over the years. Kirk Hammett did, this random guyjohnnyblaze36 said:
Did anybody notice that Billy Strings just sat in with Tool last night? I'm trying to think of the last person that got to sit-in with Tool and I'm surprised Maynard even allowed it. Anybody know?
In the last month, Billy played his own wedding with Les Claypool, Trey Anastasio, and Bob Weir. Guy follows that up with shredding on stage with Tool. I can't think of a more meteoric rise in a 20 month span than he has had.
Can't wait for Billy NYE NOLA and Tool Austin shortly after.

well that random dude in video above did it last year.johnnyblaze36 said:
Thanks. A more extensive list than I thought. Good lord Lane Staley on "Opiate" must have been nice.
But after surveying it all, looks like it's been over 12 years since someone made a guest appearance. Billy is the ****ing man.

Welp. I failed at Ticketmaster this morning. As soon as I got into buy tickets, it was already down to singles only. Guess I'll be looking at after-market for the Austin show.
i just hopped on the denver sale, saw that the cheapest ticket was $100 for way up high, and passed. These were actually $95 before fees, so probably $125 or so.astros4545 said:Tobias Funke said:

I just got 2 nosebleeds in Austin at 10:50
$100 per ticket after fees
yeah completely disagree. Loved the 2022 show and would gladly pay to see them in Houston... they're not getting any younger.David Happymountain said:
I'm pretty OK Tool isn't stopping Houston this time around. I feel like the 2019 and 2022 shows used too much prerecorded vocals. Same with APC at Buzzfest in 2018.
The shows are always entertaining but when you a have mega ego ahole like MJK performing behind screens or in the shadows and using propping up shows with prerecorded vocals, its like watching a rerun.
No doubt there will be some disagreement because this is the internet, and that's fine.
