Is this taking multiple seasons to tell the same story as the movie? If not, what story would this tell?

I love the movie, but never once thought I wanted to see 100 episodes drawing all this out...

It's 8 episodes and more inline with the graphic novels (There's six). I'm guessing each episode will be centered around each one of the seven evil exes.

Yeah, that's what I would expect, too. In the comics, each comic is around a single ex. I like that they are using the actors as the movie. I think it could be fun.

Gotcha. I guess I'm scarred from trying to get into anime, then being bored out of my mind as they milk a fight that should take 5-10 minutes for 2 full episodes.
