Did anyone stick it out until the end? I'm embarrassed to say I did, and wow...the final episodes were HORRIBLE. Actually there are no words for how much they sucked. The show was always cheesy, but these seem like they were written by elementary school students or something. It was so close to the end that I couldn't quit, but I really wish I had. It makes me not want to try any of the new spinoffs.

It peaked around season 3. Awful writing the last 3 seasons

I lost interest after season 3. I had thought about watching it again if the seasons got better but sounds like it isn't worth it.

It stinks because there were some interesting moments but it seemed the further they got out from the timeline of the outbreak the worse the writing became.

This was originally my favorite of the walking dead series, but man, it was a slog the past couple of years.

The writing this past year has been shockingly terrible.

Like you said, some kid fan fiction quality.

I wanted every single one of them to die in the last episode. It was just completely ridiculous. And to think in all of a nuclear wasteland of SE Texas a person can manage to find one specific cat that managed to survive all that time in the wild? So much stupid in this last season.

I must admit that I embarrassingly watched the 1st season of The TWD high school kid spin-off. That is possibly one of the worst shows ever created. Definitely the worst in the TWD universe.

I checked out after season 2. My son kept watching so I would periodically catch an episode with him if time permitted and every time left thinking I was glad I had already threw in the towel.

I lost track of exactly what state they were supposed to be in because in one of these latest episodes, Dwight is staying at a house that is apparently a couple of miles from the old sanctuary? He just walks on over there one night? Wasn't the sanctuary in Virginia? I thought they were several states away.

But yeah, just like the regular walking dead, I watched FTWD from the very beginning until the terrible endings of both. No streaming, I watched all them week by week as they originally aired even though I hadn't been enjoying it for the last several years. It always just seemed like a Sunday night ritual whenever either show was in a current season.

The epitome of BS writing was the sequence in the first few episodes with the daughter refusing to leave because she was worried about her boyfriend. Let's be honest, as a parent if you see all kinds of craziness happening and watch your neighbor eating another neighbors brains on their front lawn you ain't worried about your teenage daughters boyfriend. Any normal person would tell the daughter to STFU and hogtie her if you have to and throw the fam in the car and get the hell outta dodge.
