In a newsroom somewhere in this great land of ours, a producer is currently typing this line:

"In the 1980s, if you were sweatin' to the oldies or sweatin' in the sheets…"
“Things weren’t gentle and politically correct in those days. We weren’t candy asses. Okay?”
-Frank Borman

“Who are you to doubt El Dandy? ‘Cause this guy’s a serious professional.”

Damn. Icons.

Simmons still holds the title of most legendary Whose Line Is It segments. I STILL laugh at it every time.

The abuse that dude took and laughed off would NEVER happen today. It was mostly in good fun, and he knew that, but people would never ever say those things now. He was decades ahead of his time.

I actually met Dr. Ruth back in 1993 in Boston where she was speaking. Very cool and cordial to everyone.

insane that much of her family was murdered in the Holocaust, then she was in the War of independence, but always had a smile on her face!
