Just curious what you guys are listing to other than Texags for entertainment. Doesn't have to be sports related. Thanks!

The major ones:
Fly on the Wall
Smartless
Conan needs a Friend

The other ones are podcasts that I'm pretty sure have about 50 listeners each:
Stuck in the 80s
Everything 80s
Valley Heat
and a bunch of super nerdy ones that I'm not going to list because they are so specific that I would dox myself.

Conan
Bill Burr Monday Morning

Criminal
Marc Maron WTF - Although I skip the ones I don't know the guest...which is like 80% of them. He's a great interviewer though when it is a good guest, not the usual promotional fluff.

That's about all I can keep up with on a weekly basis.

Valley heat is one of the most amazing works of art ever created. It just gets better with time. It's a shame he seams to of stopped making them in season 3

Ha ha! I probably would't say "most amazing works of art ever created", but its funny enough that I remember scenes from it years later. I guess that's more than I can say about other "most amazing works of art" I've seen.

One that comes to mind is coffee-smoke. Coffee that is ground so fine, that it is more like smoke than ground beans. Also, some kind of sports car that you lay down in to have a lower profile. Good stuff. Maybe time for a re-listen.

It usually depends who they have on.

TimcastIRL - usually listen daily for a bit to get an idea of some of what's going on in the political world
Rogan
Shawn Ryan
Conan

Those are my regulars, but I'll listen to several others if they have someone interesting on.

I would probably say Rogan, but I can go weeks without listening to him if I don't like the guest or when he starts tying in aliens, drugs, or covid into conversations where it doesn't apply & I'll just quit listening.

Small Town Murder - Good mix of comedy, murder and intrigue. Usually come out with a long version 2.5 hours and short version just over an hour every week. Just fast forward past the first 5 minutes to get through their ads.

Valley Heat was amazing, but very hit or miss outside of the first few episodes.

Crack a brew with AJW

Listen to depending on topic or guest:

Boulder Boys (not for everyone, but I like their commentary)
Trail Runner Nation
Koopcast (bonus: he's an Ag)
Choose Strong
Between Two Pines (def not for everyone. It's cringe at times)

God's Country. It's two brothers that are songwriters but also big outdoorsmen. It's in the MeatEater network. They have other singer/songwriters on that usually have a connection to the outdoors as well.

Stuff about the stuff I'm usually doing while listening.

MBMBAM/Adventure Zone (D&D) won't be for everyone, but I still enjoy most of it.

White Horse Inn is churchy church Reformed stuff.

Naked Scientists is dope. So is Philosophize This.

Conan is one my wife and I both like. So that's our roadtrip listen.

Dan Carlin's Hardcore History, though he hasn't released a multi-part banger since Supernova in the East
Mike Duncan's History of Rome - this one is complete with over a hundred episodes, takes you from the mythological founding of Rome through the fall of the Western Empire
Mike Duncan's Revolutions - long-running, goes through a ton of historical revolutions
Myths and Legends - different folktales and myths from around the world

I was the exact opposite…I thought it started a little slow but once the characters got developed it was can't miss. The calls from chuck were amazing, all the conflict with the characters from the used foosball store, etc. The falcons cry episode had me and my 10 year old laughing so hard.

It's not for everyone, but the subtle humor worked perfect for me. My wife on the other hand …not so much.

This is a great list. I haven't listened to hardcore history in a while, need to get back into it. Same with Revolutions.

Will definitely check out myths and legends, it sounds like something my daughter would enjoy too.
