As a big KK/Cobra Kai fan, I've been pretty excited for this. Now that reviews are out, they're pretty mixed at best, which is a little disappointing.

Biggest bummer is I hear Daniel is only brought into the final act of the movie and feels shoehorned in rather than being an integral part of the story.

Still going tonight and hoping for the best.

I thought that was fun.

Sure it's pretty formulaic, and essentially another Karate Kid remake (with a bit of a twist thrown in though), but I enjoyed myself.

About the biggest complaint I have is that the pace feels pretty breakneck throughout the movie. I think the movie could've been about 15 minutes longer. (A rare complaint these days.)

Biggest pop came in the post credit scene, so make sure to stick around. (Right after the title card at the end.)

Took both my boys (14 & 11) and my wife, we all LOVED it! It's not going win any awards, but a great family movie, lots of cool fights, good story…. Some of the side characters were underdeveloped, but it was a great fun movie. Highly recommend

This was a little disappointing and not because it was bad. My expectations were probably too high. It was fun, though, and well acted for the most part. I wasnt expecting Dawson's Creek, but I'll allow it.

I enjoyed it and my 11 yo son loved it. He said he liked it more than the Minecraft movie. I think a lot of that is recency bias though.

My son loved it. I felt like the villain(s) were significantly underdeveloped, but they were trying to pack a lot into the run time.

tend to agree on the villians. However, they did make Oshea look like the biggest dewsh. Nailed that.

I took my wife, 20 year old and 17 year old to see it.
Kids watched the original very young and loved Cobra Kai.

It was fun.

Biggest complaint was more Daniel and Johnny was needed.

They should've gone with Daniel and Johnny for Miyagi Do.

If they ever need an Asian Peter Parker, they have their actor.

When Connor the bad guy first gets introduced and the guy he's sparing with wants to take a break then he just round houses him in the face. That was awesome!

So is this a wait until it hits streaming flick or sit in a crowded theater movie?

Also, is bad actor Sam in it with her lover Wobbie?

And is she running on sand in this?

If Ali isn't in it, is it really even Karate Kid?

I mean, she was in the first one, none of the sequels, one episode of Cobra Kai….

You might be right.

Mrs. and I are big KK and Cobra Kai fans - saw this yesterday and really enjoyed it, even though the story has been done many times now.
