Currently watching a live concert on YouTube from Jones Hall in Houston. They are performing 15 pieces from the 29 collaborations between Steven Spielberg and John Williams. I never thought something like this would have interested me despite my near life long love of film music, but after going to Jones Hall earlier this year when the HSO played the score to a showing of The Empire Strikes Back, I am hooked.

They started with Jaws, then did The Sugarland Express, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, 1941, and are currently performing Hymn To The Fallen from Saving Private Ryan.

People can talk about Hans Zimmer, who is great in his own right, but John Williams is the GOAT.
