Heading to the Metallica show tonight. How is the Uber pickup after games and big events? I ask because we did this to and from last time they were here, and it was quick and easy getting there, but was a total fiasco after the concert. We had to walk about a mile and wait an hour for our pickup. Hoping the process has improved some in 8 years.

Not familiar with these logistics.

Last time I dealt with an issue like that in that area was WrestleMania 17, and then years later, to a lesser extent, at a Billy Joel concert, and then a U2 concert (was near the stage, Muse opened) - neither of which had a logistical challenge.

Worst traffic I ever faced leaving a musical venue was 1997 RockFest (Bush, No Doubt, Counting Crows, Matchbox Twenty, Third Eye Blind, Collective Soul Jewel)

Id walk over to the Holiday Inn or Wyndham and hang out in the bar until your uber comes.

I'm in the same predicament. Was planning on Ubering so I could get a little rowdy and I don't mind dealing with walking to get picked up. But now my father in law wants to ride with me and he's a little overweight with a bad foot

This is always the best strategy. Wait if you're ubering.

Wait for 30 minutes to an hour before getting your Uber. High demand and surge pricing is a pain in the ass. We first ran into that a few years ago in Nashville. We went to the Grand Ole Opry and paid about 2 1/2 times as much for the ride back to the hotel as for the ride out. Ran into the same after a night on Broadway when the CMAs were going on.
I am not the Six Million Dollar Man, but I might need that surgery. "We have the technology, we can rebuild him!"

I have no advice for you, but I lived at 1427 Hawktree the last 2 years I was at A&M.
