The Quick and the Dead (1987) was Sam Elliott and Kate Capshaw (and yes, she is a fine woman). There was a 1995 release with Gene Hackman and Sharon Stone.

Evil Dead's Sam Raimi directing and DiCaprio and Russell Crowe also starring.

Fun b flick.

If I remember my youth correctly, it was an HBOnly production. Wasn't released in theaters. And yes, I thought Kate Capshaw was easy on the eyes too.

Ah, that might explain it. I didn't get HBO back then.

The '87 version was based on the Louis L'Amour novel. The '95 version was just some poorly written trash with no basis in reality. Fun watch though.

But it does have a still in her prime Sharon Stone nipple shot. So it's got that going for it.

You're referring to the 1987 title, but most posters / lurkers will be much more familiar with the 1995 film of the same title.

As even a cursory reading of the thread already evidenced. Solid input.
