The Quick and the Dead (1987) was Sam Elliott and Kate Capshaw (and yes, she is a fine woman). There was a 1995 release with Gene Hackman and Sharon Stone.

If I remember my youth correctly, it was an HBOnly production. Wasn't released in theaters. And yes, I thought Kate Capshaw was easy on the eyes too.

The '87 version was based on the Louis L'Amour novel. The '95 version was just some poorly written trash with no basis in reality. Fun watch though.

You're referring to the 1987 title, but most posters / lurkers will be much more familiar with the 1995 film of the same title.
