It's been out a few weeks so surprised there's no thread on it yet unless I missed it.

Like a lot of crime dramas, it starts a little slow, but after the third episode I'm pretty hooked. It stars Taron Egerton and Jurnee Smollett as arson investigators, each with some interesting depth and baggage.

I wouldn't call it the most original series I've ever seen. There have been lots of movies on the topic. See https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_about_arson

It doesn't seem to be hiding much from the viewer, but I suspect there will be some surprises along the way.

Only three episodes released so far with new ones every Friday.

Agree, the first 2 episodes were not that engaging and were very slow. Surprised by the revelation in episode 3 and will continue watching to see where they go with that angle.

Disappointed this isn't a Gunsmoke revival

I don't know why I've continued to watch this show, it's real bad. The story isn't very good, nor are the characters. If you have a show or movie without any sympathetic characters then you need a hell of a better story to tell than this show has done. Swing and a miss Apple.

I'm really enjoying it, has a few good twists in it.

It's based on a true story. Which is wild. John Leonard Orr. I remember reading about it. So this pulled in.

I enjoyed it. Smollett and Kinear were great and Taron Egerton was unbelievably off-putting, which was the point of how he played the role.

Honestly I think they sort of lost me a bit in the last two episodes. No huge misstep or anything, just all the characters seemed like they went a step too far in what you'd normally expect from them. Took me out of the show a bit. Overall though it was interesting. Felt like a spiritual follower to Backdraft in a lot of ways.

I really enjoyed the initial episodes. Kind of went down a bit after the original arsonist was caught. The last episode was about the worst finale I have ever seen. The forest scene was outrageously awful.

Agree. We were laughing at the dream (or maybe excerpt from his book) until we realized it was "real." Then we thought the big twist was going to be her being the arsonist all along. No, she just decided she couldn't call 911, and the new, tough investigator came out of nowhere and did … nothing.
