I was eating lunch at a bar with my grandpa when the TVs all broke in with this news and got to watch it all unfold live. IIRC, at first people thought it was a UFO, then it was reported it was some guy's balloon, then reported that there was a kid in it.

How no one talks about Lawchair Larry anymore is baffling to me. Dude ties 40 large helium baloons to a lawnchair and sets sail over coastal California in 1982...with nothing but a small cooler of beer and a pellet gun...reaching an altitude of 16,000 ft. LEGEND.

Wholeheartedly agree. Have really enjoyed each of the ones I've watched so far. I think this is the only one I haven't watched yet. It's on the list.
