Obvious answer is the Original Star Wars Trilogy.

BUT...i'd love to see Cabin in the Woods again for the first time. I went into that knowing nothing, thinking it was just going to be a standard campy horror movie. Holy hell, that twist was one of my favorite moments watching a movie in the theater.

During COVID, my brother and I went and saw The Empire Strikes Back at the movies. We were 6 and 9 years old when it came out originally.

When Luke crashes on Dagobah, my brother said, "Can you imagine what we must have felt seeing this the first time, with absolutely no idea that Yoda existed, and all of the stuff he's going to say and do in the next hour?"

From my more adult days, I'd also say:
The Matrix
Pulp Fiction
Deadpool & Wolverine - opening night when Blade walks in and again when Wolverine puts on the mask were like being at a rock concert reactions.

I don't get that scared during many movies at all really. The Exorcist didn't phase me. But this movie, at the age of 18, scared the everliving sh** out of me. I think a large part of it was that I went into the movie expecting a boring "psychological thriller" (my gf at the time wanted to see it and that's how it was explained to me), and did not expect any horror components whatsoever.

None of my friends understood it. They were kind of creeped out by it, but I was pretty much scared to an unreasonable degree.

I'm gonna go with a different approach to this thread. I'd like to see:

War of the Worlds (2025 version)
and
Star Trek: Section 31

Because I'd like to think I actually do have the mental willpower to turn both of those off within the first 5 minutes instead of watching them all the way through again.

Interstellar. I wish I had seen this in the theaters. I had a newborn and a toddler when it first came out and it slipped off my radar for years. When I finally got around to watching it, I instantly regretted not seeing it on the big screen.

You missed a chance to see Interstellar last year when it was re-released for its 10th anniversary

Lord of the Rings - directors cut - in theaters ... that was just a great experience watching each the first time

Inception ... because it was such a mind-F the first time; very unique concept

Star Wars (OT) ... for obvious reasons

Braveheart ... again for it's time in mid 90's just a great movie and the first i'd seen with such big battles

Saving Private Ryan ... great acting, great filming and cinematography, and emotionally charged

We didn't get it in Saudi Arabia until 1978.

I would love to go back and see it on a big screen instead of at a school assembly huddled around an AV cart watching a U-matic video tape on probably a 25 inch Sony Trinitron.

My aunt & uncle took my brother and I to see Empire in Houston in 1980. I will never forget the audible gasp from the audience when Vader said "No, I am your father!" 10 year old me was pretty mad knowing I'd have to wait 3 years to find out about that and not to mention what was going to happen to Han.
