Deal is for the WB film studio and HBO Max streaming serivce. The Discovery Networks cable channels are being spun off. I think they missed a golden opportunity to combine CNN with Looney Tunes.

For all the "this sucks for Hollywood" takes out there -- there are far more overlaps between Paramount & WBD than Netflix & WBD. You can imagine there will be far fewer "redunancies" from a Netflix deal than Para. So, from a jobs perspective, Netflix/WBD have a good argument.
