For women of the 80's, and any male who had to be around them, you knew Luke and Laura of General Hospital were a genuine phenomenon.

"General Hospital" was huge back then, and the Luke and Laura storyline was the reason.

An amazing 30 million viewers tuned in to watch their wedding. For a daytime soap!
