One of my all time favorite scenes is from "For Your Consideration" when it's her at home watching the Oscar nominations. In a comedy completely lampooning awards and awards season, she gives a legitimately Oscar worthy performance in just a perfectly acted scene.

This matches my thoughts about her as well. In everything I ever saw her in, she was GOOD. A real talent.

I'm 53 so I've been aware of her performances since the 80's.Seemed really healthy and productive, a shock to see this.

Not that she truly ever stopped working, I've loved this late career resurgence she was having since being on *****t's Creek. Since I'm a child of the 90s, the first comedic role I ever saw her in was Orange County where she owned scenes with Jack Black.

I watched the John Candy documentary last month and I hadnt watched much SCTV but the skits she was in were fantastic. And of course they showed the John Candy van improv bits from filming home alone.

She could make *anything* funny. And she did.

Like most, I grew up with the Home Alones, where she was a little more serious, then went into "fk it mode, let's be ridiculous."

Orange County was perfection, *****ts Creek was an accident, and she was the only one who could have played her part in The Studio.

This one hurts.
