Revenge of the nerds is one of my favorite comedies. I recently bought a blu ray copy, since this movie will one day disappear from all streaming platforms. Anyone offended by this movie can eat s&it

Hilarious by all standards. But, like other 70's or 80's comedies, could never be made today.

SIXTEEN CANDLES also had two guys drag a drunk hot female into a car

and the nerd basically raped her as she was under the influence

that movie would NEVER be made today.

But he was so good at sex she was ok with it and fell in love with him!

What a great message to send to nerdy teenage boys.

I mean, they also put a camera to spy on naked women. if you ever wonder why that movie is never on HBO or any other channel, it's not exactly 2026 correct.

But as a kid, I loved it for sure.

I'll always remember him from The Cowboys more than anything else because we watched John Wayne movies all the time as kids. Funny enough, his dad John Carradine was in John Wayne's first major breakthrough film in Stagecoach.

Also in the Big Red One with Lee Marvin and Mark Hamill

When I was a kid my parents taped a lot of stuff off of cable (my Dad also bootlegged a lot of movies while offshore) and they had typed out a six-page list/directory of movies so we could correlate what movies were on which numbered tape.

Flash forward to my friend's 10th birthday and he asks me to bring No. 9 Revenge of the Nerds but I mistakenly brought (No.9) Pound Puppies.

To this day I don't know if I f'd it up or if my Mom made the switch before I left the house.

Thanks for the memories Robert.

There's a lot of stuff you couldn't make from the 90's and 2000's as well. Recently watched "Old School" and "Training Day" and I feel that way about both of them. If you did, you certainly could not make them in the same manner...both movies would suck.

Something I learned today about him: David Carradine is his brother

Lewis: There's 6,127 students at Adams, 58% of which are girls.
Gilbert: So?
Lewis: So, that's 7,107.32 boobs.
Mr. Skolnick: Ah, you college men are all alike; all you think about is getting laid! I almost wish I was enrolling in school with you guys!

Very sad, but I am oddly proud of his siblings/family for not reinforcing shame and stating plainly the challenges he faced with bipolar disorder and his decision to take his own life.

Actor Keith Carradine is also his brother. All three played the Younger brothers of the James-Younger gang in the 1980 Western "The Long Riders" that featured four actual sets of actor brothers playing the parts of brothers in the gang. Great film if you can find it!

He made it to 71 with a horrific disease. Pretty impressive if you think about it.

I recently watched this because of a David Carradine interview I watched. The Keach brothers, Carradine brothers, Quad brothers and another group of siblings that I wasn't familiar with. Very good movie and a great concept of casting.

Never knew that either. That's about as interesting as the way David went out.

What a great message to send to nerdy teenage boys.

The real question is, how many guys was Betty banging non stop that she couldn't tell the difference between the body of her boyfriend, who was the QB of the football team, and a nerd who weighed 120 pounds and was probably 5-5?

It was just a helmet, Betty, not a magic shape-shifter ring.
