an austin news station reported on the nightly news that it didnt get lit until after 10 oclock,,no reports as to what the delays were, and i cannot find a source to verify that information.

It got lit between 8 and 9.

I'm trying to find a way to post a few pics. I'm also loading a video of the War Hymn... and I have a video of the pots walking the torches around stack and ignighting stack, but it's too big for YouTube or Photobucket. Suggestions?

It was beautiful -- first time I'd gotten to actually experience burn since I was a fish. I'm very proud of Bonfire -- from the top down. Everyone pitched in and it's so evident that the organization is growing.

It was great getting to see old buddies that I'd lost touch with... though I did leave early because I'm an old, boring fart now.

Keegan probably hasn't posted pics yet because they routed the traffic to BFE and back (took us 45 min to get to Bryan from just south of Hearne... and that was BEFORE the traffic).

I was on the way out there with my grandparents when it was pouring. We got outside of Bryan and decided to turn back. We didn't wear boots and my grandparents didn't wanna get too muddy. So I guess what I'm getting at is, was it muddy as hell?

AP article said 3000. Somebody is way off.

I would be the AP number is closer.

I drove in from Fort Worth to see Bonfire. It was lit at 8:30, I had to leave at 10:30 to drive back. Working the day after Bonfire...NOT recommended! When did it finally fall (centerpole breaking)?

When KBTX was there there was probably only a few hundred. The crowd showed up later.
