without Bonfire, A&M will continue to lose the greatest thing about its identity.

i can honestly say that without Bonfire, the A&M experience is incomplete, and the university will garner less and less of my support and $ if we continue to ignore one of the single greatest campus events in our storied past.

I agree with the original poster... I'm not going to say that the Tradition is better than any of the others, but I do believe that its removal from the university is more devastating to the Aggie Family than what most current students think...

We are in polarized times at A&M: Our father's and grandfather's couldn't imagine a Texas A&M without a Bonfire. Since class of 2003, we can't imagine a Texas A&M with it (the effect of an on-campus Bonfire cannot be experienced. its a shame... the unifying power that Bonfire possessed was just too precious to be completely removed...)

*i'm hurting for the Aggie Family again right now. i wish that my generation would realize the power that Bonfire had to bring a school together. the only labor project we work on now is Big Event (last two years assignments= jokes) and making a migration from the north to south side of Kyle Field on 105 degree days when A&M goes into overtime...

Where boys become men...

hell, trying to win converts on west campus has been hard… but its still worth it. carrying on something from the last century, giving substance to the statement "we will ALWAYS remember 1999," my little bro taking part of bonfire 2009, thats more than enough reason to motivate my old butt out of bed in the morning… BTHOB 2009

My sister is out here for Bonfire 2009, my Chief year...

Nothing like havin' a family dominate a crew! Younger brother will be a freshman next year... can't wait to get him out there and put his butt to work!
