Guys...over the past few days, I've gotten more than educated about the off-campus Bonfire, which is set to burn tomorrow (Tuesday) night at 8 p.m. I plan on attending this year and I'm excited about seeing the passion that those current A&M students have for keeping this great tradition alive.

I look forward to getting a first-hand look at Student Bonfire and I wanted to post this reminder for all of you, in case you were thinking of heading to it this year but weren't sure when or where it was held.

I see there will be drinks for sale but I am assuming no food. I also know we can not bring coolers but what about big bags with food? Our family is coming including our 5 year old. Even if I make them eat an early dinner, I am fully expecting a starving child by burn time. Just trying to pack appropriately. Thanks!

I cant speak with any authority on the subject but I suspect that if it is clearly food and that you aren't trying to smuggle in some vodka or something, it should be fine.

First time in 11 years to see bonfire. I'm looking forward to it, and I'm bringing the kids and wife for their first time!

Agism95. Last year there were hot dogs and stuff if I recall.

I would pack some food in clear bags or something other than a cooler. If you're parents with kids I doubt anyone will question your intentions.

Anybody have an idea about what kind of wait times can be expected to get in (traffic-wise)?

Coming back after 11 years myself!! Bringing my 2 oldest kids (15 & 17). They have no idea what to expect.

Think my family is headed out too. Should be interesting. No idea what to expect either, but I honestly can't express what it means to this Ag to be headed to a Fightin' Texas Aggie Bonfire (in any form) after all this time.

We had an awesome time! Had enough snacks for the kids and we bought drinks there. Perfect night!
