Not really an ol rock story, but it's one of my all time favorite memories at bonfire cut/stack.
We were slamming dorm logs onto the 2005 stack. (Pine bonfire, Hiss!). Most dorms were done and it was only a few 'late arrivals' (read: BQs and a few other Corps outfits that weren't heavy participants) who had yet to slam their log.
The BQs hadn't done much at all that year at bonfire and were slamming their log onto stack. Well, of course, the base moved and they required a ram.
That Guy, Token, & I encouraged their fish to grab a whole log and use it as a ram stick.
They enthusiastically obliged.
We may or may not have also encouraged them to get a running start as "that's what a ram crew does, now get going, dumbass! ONE TWO RAM!"
Being the wonderfully competant BQs that we all know, the 5 or 6 fish on the ram stick started running full bore at their log, plowed straight into stack, and then all fell back right onto their ass, log in hand.
The Jerps (I believe it was mr. fraizier and I forget the other) weren't paying very close attention and were powerless to stop it all from happing.
Someone got it on video that night, and I really, really, really wish I had a copy of that amazing display of overly enthusiastic incompetance.
