This will be the last "photos" thread I start (maybe). I didn't think these would turn into a weekly thing but I guess they have. So I'll just post here with updates and keep the airwaves clean.

That countdown is a photo from 2010.

I'll be heading out to Stack tonight (maybe) or tomorrow (for sure) to locate fixed positions for progression shots. Of course, I'll get a few shots of Centerpole, the Windles, perimeters and the whole set-up pre-Stack.

It took a couple days to get used to shooting in the dark again. And this year I'm working with a flash which I hadn't done last year. They get better, is what I'm saying.

Driving back to CS very late last night, looking up at all the stars in the sky that were very visible coming in through North Zulch I had a thought for a seemingly very cool picture.
I remembered seeing this picture

and thought last night that someone with some decent equipment and access could accomplish a similar shot of Stack resting.
Anyways, the next new moon is December 13th...
