There is a picture on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_A%26M_University that is being portrayed as "midnight yell" that is actually the candle light ceremony at Kyle Field after Bonfire fell in '99. If anyone knows how to fix this picture (it is an open source ste), please do so and replace it with a more appropriate one, like this:

Thanks in advance.

What gives it away as the candle light ceremony?

At midnight yell, there aren't hundreds of people in the zone, let alone on the former student's side. On top of that, this looks exactly like the hundreds of other pictures from that night.

It's an open source site... somebody should be able to click "edit" and change the picture...

Opie, what's the copyright status on that image? (Wikipedia requires it.)

Opie, actually that was yell...

there was a candle light ceremony out at Bonfire Site the night that Bonfire should have burned in 99.

After the ceremony, everyone went to Kyle for yell practice for the tu game.

When the lights went out for the "scoring" practice, a couple of people lit their candles and then it slowly spread througout the entire stadium.

It was completely impromptu, no one expected it to happen.

And yes, we were up in the zone for that yell practice bc of the number of people that was at the candlelight ceremony earlier.

In fact, my brother, younger sister and I were in the zone for that yell.

The candles came over from site, some still lit. I still have mine.

I was in the bottom left of this picture, next to the cannon with my Dad.

I don't think this is the best example of Midnight Yell Practice.

The one I posted is from www.tamu.edu .

I don't know how to change it, but I know someone here does. Please do so.

no, its not the best example, but it was actually a midnight yell practice.

I agree, it should probably be changed. If you knew nothing about yell practice would that picture tell you anything at all?

Midnight yell for tu in 99 at kyle feild did fill the entire staduim. That is the only time I have seen it full for Yell. That is one of my most memoriable yell practices.

The photo itself isn't labelled as Midnight Yell (most of the other photos are labelled beneath them), it's just next to the paragraph that describes what Midnight Yell is.

Click on the picture and it comes up as Midnight Yell. Which it was. Why would it need to be changed? Probably one of the most memorable Yells in history.
