I stayed until the buses werent going to run anymore at around 1130 or something. How much more burned after I left. Is it still burning? Anyone have more pictures?

it didn't get going any further than when you were there, i left just after 12, and as stated in someone elses post, they extinguished it at about 12:20 or so....Does anyone have anynews past that?

McInnis and HHH were the last ones left, and before we did we had a good "beat the hell outta Brazos County Municipal Services" yell.

Before this goes much further...

The decision to put out the stack was that of the SB leadership. The Sherriff AND the Fire Chief were willing to leave it smoldering. It was determined that it was safer to put it out.

What happens now is we wait and see what we will be allowed to do. Given the fact that the interior burning has made stack too unstable to allow anyone on it for disassembly and removal, available options are contingent upon coordination with local authorities since we are still under a burn ban. So what everyone needs to do is stay calm, stay motivated, and let those in charge of ASB decide on a plan of action. When and if they need our help with removal of stack, they'll let us know. But they are on top of the situation.
