For everyone wondering if "New Army", as we've been called, understands what Bonfire is about or has a desire to see this tradition continued...think about this.

Briggs hasn't really been known for being a spirited dorm. We're an all girl southside dorm. Today as I walked the little bit of hall between my door and the bathroom I was approached by three freshman who expressed a desire to put a crew together for next year.

This isn't the first time I've heard a request like this. These are girls who, unfortunatly, have never seen the real thing. But they all see something special in Bonfire, and they want to be a part of it.

Now is one of the best times to start recruiting for next year. Form your leadership and get it going. Easiest way is to start an email list. Keep them informed regularly.

My wife is a hardcore Spence girl and earned the last pot they passed. She may be able to help you out if you're interested in Briggs history.

That would be awesome! Let her know, although she might not like it, that Spence and Briggs were combined this year, so I'm intrested in pot colors for both dorms and old yells if there were any.

We're trying to figure out a way to put it all together. :-)

I'm McInnis' wife who he mentioned in the post above.

I'm excited that yall have an interest in putting a crew together. I'd love to help in any way that I can. Spence and Briggs were together in '99 when I built Bonfire so that's what I'm familiar with.

I live in Galveston now but I'd love to come up there sometime and meet with yall. Like someone already said, start planning things now.
