This was very well done. I really enjoy a lot of this guys videos. I didn't watch the halftime show because I was so bored by the game and decided to stop wasting my time. It was fascinating to see how each side of the political spectrum seemed to already have a cut and paste response.

While I do think it is important to point out cultural rot:

"Rid yourself of falsehood, speak truth each one of you with your neighbor because we are parts of one another". -Eph 4:25

It's equally important to not let that need to correct falsehood become an exercise of anger or hate.

"Brothers and sisters even if a person is caught in any wrongdoing you who are spiritual are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you are not tempted as well". -Gal 6:1.

A Christian perspective? Christians shouldn't support work on the Lord's Day.

No comment on the Christian perspective, but I regret that I have but one blue star to give to the first 7.5 minutes of the video.

Ok, yes, but I'd add from a 'cultural' perspective another angle:

Yes, RCC-based here but I think he makes strong/powerful points philosophically.

I may be misreading the signs here. . . I see a thumbs up and a "yes, but. . . .". However, given the context of FIDO's posted video, your posted video feels mostly antithetical? No?

What about Bishop Barron's video is antithetical to…what? I just think the discussion around Bad Bunny/halftime show misses some of the key depth of a cultural embrace/history which he provided in that video. Mostly in agreement with OP, but frankly I am a little tired of the Super Bowl discussion at this point personally.

The speaker in the video is clearly taking the position that we have become overly partisan, injecting partisanship into any and every opportunity - even when it doesn't make sense - that we seek affirmation of tribal identity over truth, and that we have all been trained to engage in hyperbolic reaction to disagreeable views. He discusses how both sides push fear and outrage and demonization over seeking understanding or common ground.

To which you responded with a video that draws a straight line from socialist leaning Democratic leaders to European horrors and tyranny??

Given you the benefit of the doubt, my reaction to your post is that it seems like you simply disagree with the speakers position. The alternative is that you've misunderstood him so fantastically that you've unironically posted something that is exactly what he is speaking against. The speaker said nothing about Marxism. . . . .you inserted this into the discussion to demonize the left completely unprompted. Its weird. . . . And I think its exactly what he's saying we should not be doing.

What am I missing?

I haven't watched Bishop Barton's video, but will shortly.

For what it's worth, I particularly enjoyed Bad Bunny, and I could barely understand the lyrics. Puerto Rican Spanish is different enough from my south Texas Spanish that I had to ask my kids what was he singing about.

That said, what I did discover is that his "boricua" culture is not too different than the culture I grew up in south Texas. Lots of music, lots of dancing, old men playing cards/dominoes, family life at home, and big "insert culture" weddings!

Given the problems immigrants have faced in the past few years, it was refreshing to be reminded that we are all immigrants or descendants of immigrants as Americans. Agree with many here that we need an orderly process to admit new Americans, disagree with how we have handled this in recent administrations. But that's a whole other thread.

Last, as a fan of Ricky Martin- it was a great touch to add him to the line up!

Sorry nortex, no attack intended. I just don't understand your video in the context of the original video.
