not Catholic, but I got a very nice leatherbound study Bible for my confirmation that is a treasure of mine and a hymnal.

All the Catholic athletes wear their saint charms on a necklace or bracelet, so masculine jewelry is definitely an option.

Do you know who he chose as his confirmation saint? I second the recommendation on the St. Ignatius study Bible (smaller personal size).
