They will go with whoever they ultimately believe has the best chance of winning. Period. It could be Biden, Newsome, Harris, Whitmer, or Hillary. It could be limping Biden across the finish line then take him out and have Harris. They don't care as to the "who" and neither do their voters.

Literally anything is possible.

How can they do it. Even a weak incumbent president is very powerful within his party and it would take a unanimous and United effort and much bribery to make it happen.

There are many people behind the scenes invested in Biden's power and authority or exploiting him as an easily manipulated cover for their own ends. They are going to resist losing their puppet.

I can't believe dems will turnout to vote for Biden. That's the problem, the dem down ballot would be in real trouble and that's why he will be replaced.

Everyone, Joe Biden can't simply drop out. You can't be the sitting President of the US and drop out due to dementia and STILL be the POTUS. You cannot have both of those at the same time. The only way Joe is out is if Joe dies. Now, with how much of a cocktail they are pumping into Joe, a few small changes could easily be the end of him. The dude already has 2 aneurysm clips in his brain already.

The only way Joe is out is if he assumes room temperature before the DNC convention.

That's the meat and potatoes about the panic that the D's are showing. They may have cared about not losing the presidency but after last night, they're worried about the balance of power in nearly every single state race. With Ctrl_Alt_Delete Joe in the race, they know their screwed in some of their safest races.

Hasn't there been at least one president who was not in the primary race before the convention?
I seem to recall, not sure, but wasn't Grover Cleveland nominated at the convention with out having previously declared himself a candidate? I could be thinking of another president as well.
