How does he get paid on lawsuits like these? The response from Shannon's attorney is brutal and has lots of nsfw language from her to him.

It appears she request some wild adult acts, secretly filmed it, edited it, then tried to blackmail Sharpe with it. Buzbee sues now Shannon has outed this Jane doe and she's getting crucified on Twitter.

Buzbee must negotiate a ton of settlements. Outside of Watson every other celeb lawsuit he has goes poorly it seems. If we had a loser pays system would these get filed?

40% plus reimbursement of all expenses incurred on the suit. His staff will do the work, and he pops in to push for a settlement to make it go away. Say $10mm. Then he snags $4mm and has all expenses covered.

In a loser pays system, Buzbee's client might be hit with an attorney's fee judgment, but not Buzbee. If you want to say that losing attorney pays, then good luck hiring a defense lawyer when you need one.

Loser pays only inhibits plaintiffs with something to lose financially. Your typical judgment-proof plaintiff has nothing to lose.

What about sanctions? How do they vet their plaintiffs?

I read a recap of her complaint and it seems without merit to me. Based on her description of their relationship it seems she was his Sugar Baby. She describes an incident where he was verbally abusive while a gun was in the room, not that he brandished it or pointed it at her in a menacing manner he just got angry and yelled at her and a gun happened to be in the room.

I obviously don't know all the details but from what I read she doesn't deserve a dime.

Can SSharpe sue Buzbee for defamation as well?

Or can he only sue the client?

If this was a setup, How is this not chargeable as blackmail?



1) If a guy like SSharpe is knowingly boinking an Only Fans chick, he should realize he is taking the stripper home and he just FAFOd.

2) If this was setup, he is an idiot (see #1), but don't blame him for counter-suing and hope he wins.

3) I know he is an Aggie and he donates to TAMU, but Buzbee does seem like a lowlife handling these cases...

Which, again, is absolutely toothless. These clients of Buzbee are already broke and judgment proof as it is. So go ahead and reduce an award for attorneys fees down to judgment and then abstract it. You'll never see a penny of it anyway.

It was a setup.

Who records calls, doesn't go to law enforcement with them, then decides to sue instead?

If a crime was committed, go to the police first, sue later.

Also, don't get sprung by a 19 year old when you're 55.

Also, doubt Shannon makes much personal income. He didn't do this in his official capacity. Could they get a charging order to take his equity in whatever LLC's he owns? How could they even enforce their judgement if they win?

A bit surprised Buzbee is still filing these celebrity abuse claims after getting absolutely destroyed by Jay Z's legal team. Now he has a reputation of being a shakedown artist who shouldn't be taken seriously.

We could probably work out a deal where these so called celebrities donate 5% of their earnings to A&M NIL each month and limit the lawsuits. Avoid Buzbee needing to be the middleman.
