This was a really interesting interview with Secretary Rollins, in particular about immigration and farm labor shortages, and cellular agriculture that is being banned by some states.

Does anybody know why we're putting a preemptive stop on cellular agriculture? I agree that the idea of beef grown in a lab sounds yucky, but should we ban it outright or let the market decide?

Let the market decide, always.

I love having common sense people in charge after 4 years of radical socialists, luggage stealing, cross dressing madness we had.

Ms. Rollins is outstanding. Among Trump's best hires this go-around.

USDA I haven't ever paid much attention to, but it is just another of the anodyne-sounding agencies passing out massive quantities of cash over the years, with little checks/balances, and staffed largely by leftists, imho.

She is an amazing woman. What a great interview.

If this was the last admin, everyone would be screaming about the USDA having their own law enforcement to conduct these investigations.

Remember when Obama was buying up all the ammo for these agencies?

Yes, I remember Obama ammo prices. He and China Joe seemed to wage wars on cheap ammo for Americans.

Not sure what else you are going on about. SNAP is 85% of the USDA budget, glad she is going after fraud there, seems too obvious to have been ignored this long.

To the above poster I think cellulose foods is basically 'lab grown meat' if you will. Big push for that but I am not sure she's banned it, missed that part if so (maybe she just directed funding cuts for that, as a lot of it was going to Gates foundation etc). I am not a real big fan of banning anything, but don't intend to eat fake meat anytime soon either.

Friedberg (interviewer) is a vegetarian (why he asked about lab grown meat) and has a startup called Ohalo that is working on GMOs that does selective breeding with gene editing to create new crops that are clones from seed. They have developed a potato that can grow from seed, rather than the tuber, with increased yield, a self pollinating almond tree, and from seed strawberries.

Ban it. It's disgusting and immoral. There are no such things as "free markets"...never have been...never will be.
