Damn. 101. You almost can't beat that.

Webster, a Christian Scientist who did not smoke, seldom drank and enjoyed playing tennis

Hmmm... I wonder if this is somehow related to his longevity

You see the opposite all the time though. Everyone has their genetic time that they go. Your lifestyle can adjust it up or down, but you can only do so much.
Everyone has the story about their grandparent who drank, smoked, never exercised, and lived to 90 something.

True. Everybody knows some examples of statistical outliers on the longevity distribution curve. But if you do the same distributions controlled for the lifestyle choices named above, then I'm fairly certain that you would see a significant right shift of both the mean and the number of extreme outliers.

Grandmother started smoking when she was 12... she lived to be 107.

I was acquainted with him personally and he was definitely a very active man. I watched one of the primaries with him during Trumps first campaign and we grilled burgers. Being active and moving and staying involved in the world around you really does help. His family and his wife made sure he never wanted for anything.

being filthy rich is also not a small factor, I'm sure.

Imagine how long she'da lived if she didn't shorten her life with smoking!

Yeah, smoking took ten years off her life... but it was the LAST ten years.

Seen another one that shows a particularly wretched looking picture of Keef with the caption - "The worst thing about drugs is not that they can kill you, but rather they can turn you into Keith Richards". Apologies for my lack of meme searching skills.
