Will be another GOP stalwart to take his place. The district was redrawn after 2020 and there is no way a Democrat can win.

He was a reliable conservative congressman. This is my district and not sure who replaces him. Fort Bend County has been trending democrat for the last 10 years and in particular the eastern portion as the demographic has grown more Indian, Asian and Hispanic. Nehls was a popular Sheriff who replaced Pete Olsen 6 years ago and easily won re-election the last term.

I live in his district and he's a clown and terrible representative, but he's a nice enough guy in real life. If all you care about from your rep checking in with Trump before doing anything, then you'll miss him as a good lap dog.

This was him on Epstein on Friday the 14th before being told to vote "For" over the weekend. That's pretty much his MO since taking office.

My wife sent me another longer post from his Facebook about endorsing his twin brother to take his spot. They already tried to do this a couple of times for Fort Bend County Sheriff and Judge after Troy left for congress, and Trever lost both of those. Smells like trying to get him on on a MAGA hail Mary before Trump leaves and then hope to hang on as incumbent with his brother's name recognition.

They are seeing the polling numbers and they are jumping ship before investigations run 365/7.

He's been acting squirrelly all year…going as far to endorse public labor agreements in public work.

The PAC I support promotes merit shop construction at all levels. He'd always been one our biggest supporters until this year when he ghosted us in DC and went completely silent only to turn up on a PLA supporting bill.

What's up with all these cowards leaving?

Troy never planned on doing this for life. He is doing exactly what we wish every politician would do. Serve a while then go home.

He's also endorsing his twin brother to take his seat. Doing this a week before the filing deadline certainly seems premeditated.

I knew Troy back at Ft. Knox when the two of us met while attending Armor Officer Basic Course. Nice guy.
