Exceptions abound, but as a group, Senior Citizens are probably the most affluent demographic.
And let's be honest, if I'm towing a $50,000 RV 1000 miles with my $100,000 pickup*, I can probably afford $20 a night for an RV slot.
As far as paying more, getting discounts is one of the ways I got to be well off. And that leaves me free to throw money in the contribution jars, or buy their over-priced crap in the gift shop for the grandkids.
*My pickup in a 2002, and even with upgrades and modifications, I have spent less than $30,000 for it, purchase included. And our trailer is slightly used, was about 40k
