CLC (USAF SOS equivalent) is coming to Aggieland. This has been in the works for a while but now public.

Great opportunity for the university.

Well, I went to USAF SOS and that was a ****ing waste of time. So, I'd temper my expectations.

But, didn't you at least learn the rules of Flickerball?

This course is 4 weeks. When I went to SOS it was 12 weeks.

Ugh. I would've shoved broken glass in my eyes if it was 12 weeks. 4 weeks was way too long. Everything they covered I already learned in Air Science.

Flicker ball. That was useful.

You should have spent more time at the Greyhound races. I think you might have done it wrong.

Flickerball and those reclining chairs in the dorms were a hit! Montgomery smelled weird though

I don't know. I got plenty of "networking" time in. Plus being in the middle of the Robert Trent jones trail was nice.

Screw San Francisco.. Texas A&M University might end up being the future home of Star Fleet.

Same for me....August to October 1986. Flickerball brought back some memories. LOL.

Flickerball died before 2010…I think they replaced it with some other dumbass game.

Small world. IIRC, I was there starting at the end of Sept 1986, leaving just before Christmas, enroute to the next adventure.

Maybe your section left us the hints on the message board to "buy missiles" for the war gaming.

That course had to be about the only time in my AF years of pretty constant negative reinforcement from my Flight Commander. That guy did not like me. We just wanted to have some fun and meet new and interesting people that did different things. We were good runners, though.

Sneaking around, E&Eing through the golf course like Bluto in Animal House, for Project X was hilarious.

One nice memory was our section, due to our low performance on their measurables, meeting and socializing with Col James Fleming, a Medal of Honor recipient. He was there to give us a pep talk and help motivate us. Very enjoyable experience.
