I'm all for Israel just absorbing Gaza and the West Bank. Let them have some kind of autonomous government, like the devolved parliament of Scotland is to the UK. But all defense forces are Israeli.

Give them the right to vote, the same way Arabs in Israel can vote now and have members in the Knesset. Bring industry into the West Bank and Gaza and take advantage of the cheap labor. Make their schools quit teaching hate and start teaching respect.

Maybe it's pie in the sky, but Palestine seemed to get along just fine under the Ottoman Empire with Jews and Arabs living side by side. A new integrated Israel can show the whole Middle East how people can live in the 21st century.

So just to be clear, if the rest of the world decides they should just be given part of the US, and then they start taking over the whole thing and pushing us to a couple tiny parts, we should just not gripe about it and buy a house?

This is essentially what they already had/have. Yet, even in the West Bank which is the less terroristic between the West Bank and Gaza the Palestinian government has a public policy that rewards their people for maiming or murdering Jews. There is no one state option for people like that.

The only one state option is to remove all Palestinians and punt them into some other Arab country. They can go live in one of the other countries that supposedly supports them.

Only if that one state is Israel.

Israel seems capable and willing to control the Gaza Strip and West Bank as its sovereign territory.

As such, they should determine their own policy to manage any existing and future "residents" within their territory.

They should be open about the rules they establish for Palestinians who request to and are allowed to reside in Israeli territory.

If they cannot, they are expelled from the territory.

The solution is not difficult. Having the stones to call out the right solution and then implementing are where this gets hung up.

The only viable solution is the same solution we Americans realized when facing the indian tribes like the Comanche: TOTAL WAR. After decades of trying to appease them with land and trade, we finally realized it was fruitless. That no matter what, the will always raid, rape, and kill innocent civilians as long as we let them remain autonomous. Sherman, directed Colonel Mackenzie to crush the Comanche once and for all. They wiped out the Bison, and they hunted and killed every Comanche they could find until they surrendered unconditionally.

The solution that seems the most long-term workable to me would be for Israel to fully annex and own Gaza and the West Bank and to give the people living there the opportunity to move somewhere else in the Middle East or else stay but live under Israeli rule with close monitoring of mosques and other Muslim institutions.

No right to vote. Anyone who continues to support Hamas shouldn't import those values into the Israeli electorate.

To me a single state solution is Israel annexes the Gaza Strip, moves the Gazans to the West Bank and the Palestinians can continue to operate as an autonomous demilitarized semi-state.

From a geography point of view moving the to a combo of Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan so Israel has the area would be the best

Carter should have given the Palestinians the Sinai as part of the peace deal with Egypt.

Only way it works is if "Palestine" is placed in another majority Muslim country. Then let Israel have all of current territory.

I fully realize the irony that other muslim countries don't want the Palestinians. But this is for certain the only long term workable plan.

The Palestinians LOVE that idea.

IDGAS Palestinians know killing and war for hundreds of years now. They had a chance in the 20th century and totally showed they like killing and war more than peace and prosperity.

The reason there has never been a peaceful Palestinian state is that there has never been peace between the Palestinians. Their best shot was just before the 1936-39 Palestinian Arab revolt. If the Palestinian leadership would have shown a united front against the British they may have gained state hood. Instead internal struggles between Palestinian groups led to chaotic terror attacks against the British and the Jews. The Jews responded by uniting with the British in their war against the Arab terrorist (even though many of the Jews were terrorist themselves) and the rest is history.

Are you referring to when the brits made Mandatory Palestine? Because the indigenous people of this area, Judea, are the Jews.

Palestinian isn't even an actual people with one genetic line, it's just whatever people decided to colonize in that area. The only reason they are even an issue is because they belong to the worlds biggest colonizers, islam.

Islam wants to colonize everywhere, so of course it opposes Israel. Especially after muhammad turned against the Jews, and turned his religion into a religion of violence, post Medina.

A two state solution can only work if the Palestinian side is a de facto puppet state of Saudi Arabia or UAE. They have to be governed my Muslims, and a Bukele type of leadership.

If you believe that the Judah God is the God of Israel then Not to worry about a one or a two state solution, it has already been predetermined.

Take God out of the equation and Israel makes no sense.

If only! But it will never happen. The blood between Irish and English was never as tainted (read poisoned) as that between Palestinian and Jew. The ONLY remedy hasn't returned yet.

Few things…there wasn't true acceptance by majority Muslim communities in the ME of Jews and to a lesser degree Christians. There was toleration as long as the minority religions toed the line. But there were still plenty of massacres before modern Israel was even an idea. The narrative that the Muslims of the Middle East were all about peace and love when it came to Jews, until pesky Israel came into being in the 20th century is hogwash.

Once land is Muslim, within Islam it is always Muslim, which is why even parts of Spain are considered Muslim land that was conquered but should be taken back by some.

It grinds their gears so much to know there is a Jewish state in the Middle East. Many Muslims in surrounding nations couldn't give a crap about the Palestinians….they just hate the Jews being there more.

I've shared that YouTube channel on here before. It's called The Ask Project - go watch videos of questions they ask Palestinians about co existence. They do not want it. They are playing the long game and when they say from the river to the sea, they mean it literally. All of it in their eyes should be Muslim.

I don't agree with the expansions in the West Bank. I think it makes things worse. But, there is zero chance of a one state solution because the Muslims will just outbreed the Jews and then everything will change - either by chasing them out or through murder and violence.

Exactly. Just like the imposition of the Oder-Neisse Line after WW2. If there was enough room in what was left of Germany for 14 million expellees from the east, then there's plenty of room in the 20 or so Arab countries for 5.6 million Palestinians.

Terrorists never can govern themselves.

In Israel, Jews, Muslims and Christians all live together, vote together, hold political office together and even serve in the IDF together. It's the only middle eastern country where such respect for each other's differences exists. Israel is not the problem.
