Been watching this for a bit on Fox News. Not the best Trump. He's off promoter and bloviating the same ol stories and complaints.

Love me some Trump and he's right to be proud of his successes thus far and his demand for more from the R party, but it's also stark how weak Thune and Johnson are at the pulpit and just how overshadowing Trump can be.

I would have rather seen Bessent deliver the message to the congressional Rs on economics, Rubio on foreign relations, Homan on the border, etc.

But this is flat. Rs need to find some fire in the belly as we head into the Spring.

He is now explaining how he calculates 1000% decreases in prices. It makes about as much sense as you would expect.

Again, love me some Trump. But some other Rs need to start stepping up. I think maybe it's because Thune and Johnson are so inept, maybe it's because Trump won't share a stage. But we can do better I think.

Thought I would share in case others missed this event.

He's still talking. He had a good closing point on sticking together and Obamacare subsidies. Now he's telling more nonsense.

And he says if Dems when he will be impeached. Started to whisper. Now he's back to closing mode… maybe.

I actually think "if you let the Dems win in November they will just impeach me over and over" can be a pretty powerful campaign point for Rs.

Americans don't want to go back through that not the least due to those distractions playing no small role in how COVID was handled early on.

It also entices Dems to attack on Trump allowing Rs to counter that the libs have no plans, just partisanship.

If the economy is humming, people will not vote for impeachments and partisan fighting.

Him bloviating doesn't necessarily bother me, what bothers me is Rs getting on a good message and sticking together for the balance of the year we just started.

He's damn right to be proud, but it's time to fight fight fight.

His message does get lost in the long rants and repeating the same grievances. He needs to lay out the critical path plan for the new, AI driven economy he's building for the future.

Just checked HEB and Amazon and don't see even a .001% decrease in prices.

Maybe he was given info with a few decimal points off?

He was talking specifically about drug prices. It doesn't make it make any more sense but at least he was referring to actual decreases.

If HEB has not dropped any prices, then it just means they are making more profits. Surely many of their input costs have indeed dropped.

Ah, that makes now sense. That's good about drug prices going down.

Is it all drugs or just certain ones? Asking cause I wouldn't mind my monthly prescription prices do go down.
