Michael Reagan, elder son of former President Ronald Reagan, dies at 80
He was a patriotic American - chip off the old block.
I have a personal Michael Reagan cool story bro.
I was flying LAX to St Louis on a Monday morning around 2009. It was a slow travel day, so I got a complimentary 1st class upgrade. Sat down in my seat next to a really nice dude who chatted up everyone and helped put bags in the overhead bins. (Didnt recognize him - it was Reagan).
Chatted with him for most of the next two hours. He had gone to Notre Dame HS in Sherman Oaks - in the same general area of LA where I went to public school couple of decades after he was at NDHS. We had a few things in common. He was very very nice.
When we landed, he asked where I was headed (I was going to my company's HQ and mfg plant in Stl for the week). I asked him what he was there for, and he said he was grabbing a car and heading over to Springfield, Ill to the state capital to speak to Republican state reps. At that point I asked him who he was...He said his full name and mentioned his weekly appearances on Megyn Kelly's show on FNC (he was on every Wednesday back then)...I told him I would've ID'd him earlier if he looked like Megyn. We laughed. We went our ways.
He was such a nice chap. Humble. Polite. He never tried to big-league me or anyone on the flight. That's it.
RIP
