Im not real sure what is going on a world scale , but if you look at the Reagan years 1981 to 1988, the years he was president were the years after Jimmy Carter (democrat) and massive massive inflation. Inflation on that type of world scale hasn't happened since then until Biden (democrat) was president. When Jimmy Carter was president, there were all kinds of problems around the world, Beirut / Lebanon issues, Iranian problems, problems with Soviet Union and Berlin Wall falling etc etc etc. Reagan was a post inflation republican president, Trump is the same as Reagan, dealing with all the same type of world problems. Reagan addressed the issues following becoming president. Trump is now addressing all the same types of world problems.. the US has to make adjustments after inflation, and they are happening now. I see a few more years of military action around the world and then things will quiet down (hopefully) for another 40-60 years before major inflation will hit again. most of us will be gone but if people pay attention to history, these things repeat. Lets just hope that we don't repeat WW1 and WWII at this day and age.

And as much as we all hate inflation, its a necessity to maintain as the world currency exchange leader, and to reduce our debt to other countries. there was too much money in circulation prior to Biden being in office, now the adjustments have been made and Trump is cleaning up the worlds problems that follow countries trying to take our spot as the world monetary leader.

We are a mix of Brave New World and 1984. With neither being 100% accurate but having lots of things that certainly could be from either book.

I fully agreed we're living in Orwellian times. But what's confusing is when LEFTISTS admit we are, because everything Orwellian that we're dealing with are things the left supports. So what are they complaining about then?

I think the first two books were written from a global perspective, while Atlas was written more about America.

But yes I would agree that there are things from that book that would also seem applicable.
