…to counter protests. Haven't we learned not to do peaceful protest in blue states and big cities? Anitifa may get immediately bailed out, while they are rarely arrested. But a group of 200 to 500 Houstonians would be targeted by anarchists and democratic politicians waiting to put their out of state MAGA terrorist in jail.
I do like the idea, but the consequences are to great.
The host had mention their were Rice University Students manning a ICE alert comms network. Maybe instead of flying to Minnesota…..set a time to flood RICE U with ICE Supporter's on a Saturday morning and just flood the campus with park cars for a few hours. Have a big pic-nic and fly the Red, White and Blue and offer vocal support of ICE.
Didn't we learn from Afghanistan, that you can't force a peaceful democracy upon a backwards culture whose religion (liberalism, in this case) requires the population to react with viilolence toward any challenge to their orthodoxy?
For the first time in my life I just don't know how we get out of this mess. I realize we were possibly more divided in 1861. We were divided in the 1960's. In both cases each side were "Americans" at heart. Despite the differences their were basic shared beliefs that brought us back together despite the carnage.
This feels and looks different. Clearly importing people who don't want to assimilate is a real threat. Allowing open boarders for 4 years was egregious and in my view treasonous.
I'm not seeing a path that brings us to the middle. It's sad.

Liberals, especially educators and lawyers of that type love to operate in the gray area. It's about time to give them two choices in black or white. Get with us or get gone.

Well somehow blocking our taxpayers dollars (and those from foreign sources as well) from funding this would be a great start. This is not organic or grass-roots. People dont agitate and fight law enforcement in sub-zero temperatures for free.

Take a minute to realize that it's only a handful of Democrat run states that are the real problem.
If we can stay the course, the opposition will burn themselves out by summer time.
But, between now and then, there will be a few more high profile murders committed by illegals and there will be a few more protesters who succeed at suicide by cop.
A lot of this has to do with what the news media decides to focus us on.
When was the last time an unarmed Black Man was shot by police on video?
I wonder if that doesn't happen any more, or if the media just moved on.

As I said elsewhere, these are seditious and corrupt politicians, anti-American, neo-Marxist revolutionaries, neo-Confederate successionists, psychopaths, their deluded sheep, true believers, and all the illegals that have been leeching off the American taxpayer.
Here is Xi Van Fleet, Mao's Cultural Revolution survivor, echoing your sentiment:
Quote:
This time it's a little bit different. This time I think what we see in Minneapolis is almost like CCP's Death Squad. Those people, like Alex Pretti, I think they are ready to give their life, put their body on the line and give their life for the cause. And for the, of course, for the Democratic party. They want to see more of them. They make martyrs of them. That's exactly what the CCP did during their revolution to take over China and later MAO's Cultural Revolution to take over the CCP for himself to get his absolute power.
Edit: I obviously disagree with HollywoodBQ and believe the violence, chaos, and mayhem has escalated and not burned out culminating with Assassination attempts on the President. Charlie Kirk.
I'll take "things that I don't care about for $100 Alex."
I think I'd rather watch the weeds die in my yard than protest something in another state. Not my problem. Good luck out there, though
If you are a US citizen and you don't think this is your problem, then you don't understand the issue.
Look, Bob, it's not that I don't understand the the issue, it's that I just don't care.
The idea that someone completely uninvolved and perfectly happy here in Texas would drive to Minnesota to do nothing but meddle and meaninglessly insert themselves into a situation that has no good use seems absolutely ridiculous. Good grief, go press flowers, or start scrap booking, or collect stamps….anything would be a better use of time and health.
Plus, **** that. I pay my taxes. You want to be in law enforcement. Go enforce the law and leave me the **** alone. You deal with that trash. That's why I pay you.

I think you misread my post.
I didn't say the violence is over.
I said that by summer, let's say Juneteenth for rounding to the beginning of summer, these leftists who are protesting ICE will have burned out.
IF we can stay the course. I mean more gas, no brakes.
Trump can't give an inch to these protesting morons.
By summer, we'll be in the middle of the World Cup and these commies on the left will be forced to concede that there is a legal way to come to the USA as millions of Football supporters will be doing.
Los Angeles doesn't have enough unemployed people to support World Cup games while simultaneously protesting ICE.
And most of this is media driven in a handful of cities. Minneapolis, Portland, etc.
The media needs another major news story.
Unfortunately, it's not rebuilding homes in Pacific Palisades. It's not the progress of High Speed Rail, heck, it's not even child+family illegal immigration separation.
Israel v Palestine is currently quiet, people seem to have lost interest in Russia v Ukraine. Heck, we've already forgotten about Venezuela and that was only a few weeks ago.
The media would love a mass casualty event and let's hope that doesn't happen.
But just like how Michael Jackson knocked Kobe Bryant out of the news, just like how 9/11 made everyone forget about Chandra Levy, something will happen.
Or, everyone will just be worn out and move on to something else.
Maybe we'll get lucky and the USA Soccer Team will have a 1980 Lake Placid moment.
I'll take "things that I don't care about for $100 Alex."

If you are a US citizen and you don't think this is your problem, then you don't understand the issue.
By the way, when I lived in Douglas County, Colorado and Tom Tancredo was my US Representative and he was beating the illegal immigration drum, I really didn't care.
When I lived in Los Angeles the first time, I knew lots of illegals and saw the value they added and even felt sorry for them having to live under the radar.
But, after immigrating legally to Australia and obtaining Permanent Residency, I completely changed my mind.
Deport every last illegal. With extreme prejudice.

We also need to start taking a 21st century approach to this. Go after the money. Start debanking the people funding these protects and seizing their assets. I know Bessent is working on this. Heck if there is a way to freeze protestors paychecks from these NGOs then do it.
Start going after employers who hire illegals. Employers have 30 days to get rid of their illegals or start facing $1000/day fines per employee. Debank illegals and tax remittences at 100%. If employers don't get rid of illegals then they are debanked.
Then offer illegals whatever amount of cash and a free flight home. We would release their bank accounts after they have arrived in their home country and wire the amounts to their bank at home.
…I do like the idea, but the consequences are to great.
This is the correct sentiment for a rational individual. You don't need to be a martyr, you don't need to be the tip of the spear. You need to look after your family, yourself, and your neighbors.
You may not be a moron, but some people think you are.
