Man does one get extra miles & hazard flight status for a flight like this one?

Quote:

Bullet holes were found on the wing of an American Airlines Boeing jet after landing in Miami from Colombia, according to a report.
Flight AA923 landed at the Miami International Airport on Monday when a routine post-flight inspection found the puncture marks on the 737 MAX 8's right aileron, which is responsible for lateral balance, AirLive reported.
Despite the puncture marks, the aircraft flew and landed safely.

Origin of the gunfire, Columbia or Miami? Could be both.

God loves you so much He'll meet you where you are. He also loves you too much to allow to stay where you are.

Are the bullet holes an extra charge?
Can't decide if I want to be cute and cuddly, or go blow some sh*t up.

Unless the Airline is KLM, British Airways, Air France, Lufthansa or any other international carrier. All domestic flights are getto as hell. Better off taking Greyhound, at least you don't hear about fights on a bus.

Having used flightaware to see where my plane is coming from the past 5+ years, it's still surprising to me how often it's coming from LATAM for AA, and I know the stats fairly well.

The in-flight magazines must have been terrible. Someone wanted to give them new ones, but only clipped the wings.

I'm thinking about the scene from 13 Days.

"Damn sparrows. Must've hit a hundred of em. How many did you hit?"

"Uh, a few I guess."

ummmmmm, not really. And a rifle caliber hole isn't going to do much except make the aileron whistle like a coke bottle

Our fathers and grandfathers used to fly bombing missions over Germany under intense Anti-Aircraft gun fire and we are crying over 1 or 2 little 9mm rounds. We've gotten soft.

American Airlines should be carrying bombs?

I think the term in Vietnam was "golden BB". There are lots of places on a plane, especially something the size of 737, that a rifle won't do much more than cosmetic damage. Golden BB was the term for the small arms fire or tiny lit bit of shrapnel that did manage to find and damage a critical component.
